Chandra Lee Schwartz departs the Gershwin and Wicked

          Attention all fans of the hit musical Wicked, there has been much rumor and speculation as to when Chandra Lee Schwartz will be playing her last show as Glinda the Good. So let me set the record straight-her last performance will be on October 14, 2012. That's only fourteen days from now, which is unfortunate for the many fans who have never gotten a chance to see her live.

          Chandra Lee Schwartz recently played the role of Glinda on tour, starring opposite Donna Vivino and then Jackie Burns as Elphaba. From there-her and Jackie moved to Broadway, where they have been performing since September 27, 2011. Alas, it is now time for Chandra to move on from the Gershwin

          She is being replaced by Ali Mauzey, a wonderful Glinda who has also played the role both on tour and on Broadway. Ali will begin her performances on October 16, 2012. As unfortunate as Chandra's leaving is, and how her fans will miss her-I wish her all the luck in the world on whatever she does in the future.
